Gli elementi di tipo IT:Percorso possono avere due nomi diversi, uno per lato. Si tratta in genere di strade o fiumi.

Una strada ad es. può coincidere con il confine tra Belgio ed Olanda; il Belgio la chiama "Amsterdamsestraat" e l'Olanda la chiama "Brusselsestraat".

In tal caso si possono usare i tag name:left=* e name:right=* per assegnare i due nomi separatamente (specificando la direzione della strada per definire il lato sinistro o quello destro). Il tag name=* può sempre essere usato per includere entrambi i nomi con lo scopo di supportare altri tool.

La key può essere completata con il suffisso linguistico name:left:<lg>=* dove <lg> è l' ISO code of the language. Vedi: Multilingual names.
