Best way to measure watts usage from an 110V 2000W electric heater

Is the two-wattmeter method applicable for an unbalanced source?

In balanced three-phase systems we can use the two-wattmeter method to measure total power. What about unbalanced sources and/or balanced/unbalanced loads? Can we use it for both delta and wye connections?
