An electronic symbol is a pictogram used to represent various electrical and electronic devices

An electronic symbol is a pictogram used to represent various electrical and electronic devices (such as wires, batteries, resistors, and transistors) in a schematic diagram of an electrical or electronic circuit. These symbols can (because of remaining traditions) vary from country to country, but are today to a large extent internationally standardized. Some symbols represent components which ceased to be used routinely as newer technologies were introduced.

Weird resistor with dots around it on the schematic

I was looking through the LTC4041 datasheet and saw this: The 10mOhm resistor with the two nodes really close to it - is that a "special" resistor or something? Why have they drawn it like that?

What does this symbol on a voltmeter looking like an upside down U with a small line under it represent?

I decided to start a new question because I have no idea what word describes it at best, let alone to do a research (aka googling) which can be a bit inconclusive. At first glance, it looks like it convincingly represents an LED, albeit not with…

Strange diode symbol in schematic

Does somebody know what the parts "D1" (top left) and "D2" (bottom left) are? I would expect them to be a special kind of diode, but I have never seen this symbol before in 10+ years of electronics.
