Why does resistance reduce when a conductive fabric is stretched?
I just purchased some conductive fabric and noticed that stretching the fabric reduced its resistance. This seems counter-intuitive since stretching a wire leads to an increase in its resistance. I have also found this video where you can see this…

Electroconductive fabric
Just by looking at the pictures, can anyone help me identify what kind of blanket the copper strips are glued to? The kind of material and composition.
Apparently seems to me to be a very thin glass blanket, but I'm not sure as I don't have any…

Problem with circuit created with fabric pressure sensor
This is only my second time working with any type of circuitry, so I apologize in advance if I don't use the right terms when I explain my problem. Feel free to correct me!
So in one of my projects, I used this instructable to create a pressure…

What is fabric in relation to a processor?
I have heard the term fabric used when talking about a processor in some recent documents I have looked at.
For example, "..and that will erase data within the processors fabric."
Upon researching fabric, I came across this Fabric Computing…

What's the typical distribution of fabric speed grades in produced dies?
Let's say I produce 1000 FPGAs, what percentage of these 1000 FPGAs are considered super fast, fast, medium, and slow? Does it look like a normal distribution, exponential, linear, etc.? Does anyone have any data they can share or point me to…

low resistance material used for sensing
I'm researching conductive fabric with a surface resistivity <0.5Ω/m2 (unstretched).
I've used a voltage divider setup to connect with an ADC pin of microcontroller (ATMega/Arduino board).
This setup works, but the fabric gets hot to the touch.
I…

Velostat sensitivity to temperature
Velostat and some other type of conductive fabrics change resistivity based on pressure, but I did not found information about its sensitivity regarding the temperature.
Is the velostat resistance very sensitive to temperature?

How to inflate/deflate to create artificial lungs
I'm trying to create lungs for a project I'm working on that can inflate and deflate. I'm quite new to EE and using the Arduino, so I don't have much experience to know what would be the best way to mimick lungs.
I saw this video and wanted to do…

Is it possible to calculate the position of touch on a conductive thread?
I have a conductive thread of about 2 feet (0.65 m). I would like to be able to sense the position of touch.
I was hoping that the resistance of the thread would change at constant rate along the thread. Is this true?
Thank you.

Conductive welding primer on fabric
I saw the discussions about conductive fabric with the links to lessemf.com and others. I'd like to get anyone's thoughts about painting a schematic on cloth using welding conductive primer such as SEM copper weld-through primer (Product Code #: …
