Voltage leak when muxing Li-ion cells for voltage measurements?
A disclaimer before I dive in, I am not working with a battery pack. Anytime I refer to Li-Ion cells or 18650s, I am trying to handle each cell as an individual. I am actually avoiding building a battery pack, that would be a problem.
I am working…

BMS shows wrong voltage, changes to 0 V under load
I made a 24 V, 4400 mAh lithium-ion battery using 18650 cells connected in a 7S 2P configuration.
When I check the pack output voltage without the BMS it's around 21 V (very low, undercharged). When I check the BMS output it's around 17 V which…

When I test a 18650 Li-ion cell, why do I get two different values of capacity for charging and discharging?
I'm trying to test the capacity of 18650 cells. I don't know which numbers are important. I get different results on the same cells from discharge and the charge.
For example on same 18650 cell:
(Panasonic NCR18650BD 3180mAh - 10A)
100% discharge…

Can I "Stack" 2-Cell Li-ion Battery Balancers for a 4-Cell battery?
I'm building a project where I need an internal rechargeable battery. I've decided to go with 4x 18650 Li-ion cells, so I can change them if necessary, the 4x 18650'ies will be used in series, for a higher voltage range.
As the cells are in series,…
