I am working on a driver board for MIPI displays. I have seen many designs that use a 40pin fpc ribbon cable between the DSI bridge IC and the display board for modularity. Since I want to push all 4 DSI lanes to 1Gbit/s each, I am very concerned about the differential impedance being 100ohm precisely. On most ribbon cables I have seen there are no specs for their differential impedance and the ones that state it are quite expensive.

I know this has kinda been answered here: How do cheap Raspberry CSI-2 cables get around differential impedance matching, but as the response states, there is uncertainty around the impedance of the cable. If someone has implemented or worked on something similar I would like to know their thought process for choosing the connector and ribbon, and especially the model numbers of both components they ended up choosing.

These are some of the designs I have seen:

Thanks!
