i have an article shown in the link bellow. In this article i have a patch antenna which looks like the photos bellow. f=7GHz W=5mm L=15.5mm H2=1.5mm e_r=3.5 H=6.5mm We have three weird things in the patch.
1.it got air spacing between the dielectric layer and the ground.
2.the size for L is very weird L is generally wavelength/2 In our case its lambda=300/7=42.83mm so 15.5 is 0.36*lambda.
3.its feeding is on the edge of the patch.
What is this special kind of patch and how does it work?
