If I plot the reflection coefficienct of an active network on the smith chart it moves in a clockwise direction with increase in frequency. How can we intuitively explain this? I've noticed people saying that it becomes anti-clockwise for non-causal systems, but couldn't get any explaination anywhere why it is so. Can someone give some insight/reference for this?
